4.      DMP is proud of having developed the six Phase I Approved Documents with their exceptional coverage of technologies integrated in the short time since its establishment in pursuance of the goals stated in its statutes. DMP would like to thank its members and non-members who have contributed to this result.

 

5.      DMP asks its members to actively promote information and understanding of the Phase I Approved Documents.

 

6.      DMP will disseminate information about the achievement of the Phase I milestone to relevant environments, in particular:

1.      Public Authorities in different countries

2.      Enterprises affected by the Phase I Approved Documents

3.      Standards Organisations and Industry Fora

4.      Universities

5.      The media

 

7.      DMP will send to a number of highly representative individuals a specially prepared letter introducing DMP, its Approved Documents and their expected impact on business and society together with a printed book containing the Approved Documents.

 

8.      DMP notes that the Phase I specification would have benefited from the integration of some additional important technology components. Therefore DMP encourages its members to submit contributions on the following topics at the next meeting:

1.      Requirements and solutions for native DMP metadata for the PAV application space

2.      Application requirements for a smaller REL profile than used in the Phase I specification

3.      Protocols to negotiate how a User utilises the Use Data of another User (see 3.4 of PAV Requirements dmp0146)

4.      Access Content and License Protocols for Devices without Certificates.

 

9.      DMP establishes the following ad hoc group:

Ad hoc Group on editorial fixes to Approved Documents Nos. 1 to 6

Mandate

1.      Produce the final text of Approved Documents No. 1 to 6 for publication on the DMP web site

2.      Produce an integrated version of the Approved Documents suitable for printing the book of resolution 7

3.      Provide a forum to discuss the items of resolution 8

4.      Complete the work of mandate 1. by 2005/04/30

19.  DMP acknowledges the important role played by MPEG standards in IDP-1 and IDP-2. A liaison letter should be sent to MPEG informing that group of

1.      The use of MPEG technologies made in our specifications

2.      The desire to collaborate in the definition of the REL mobile profile and possibly broadcast profile, leaving to MPEG the task to produce new REL profile standards

3.      The management of name spaces in the interim period until formal approval of REL profiles

4.      The confirmation of Marc Gauvin as Liaison Officer from DMP to MPEG.
